Heliconia is a genus of flowering tropical plant-- the type of which doesn't grow in this area, so it's nice to have a cool-climate sculpture instead!

This glass art installation, called "Heliconia Growing," can be found inside local bookstore Village Books. It is by Bellingham artist Christopher Morrison.
