Grape Boxes
Yesterday some friends and I went to Mount Baker Vineyards and walked among the grapes before we went to the tasting room for some wine tasting. Mount Baker Vineyard is one of the few west-coast vineyards-- Washington state produces a lot of wine grapes, but almost all of them are east of the mountains. These boxes transport the grapes from the vineyards to the winery.

I love old grape crates! They have so many great uses inside the home.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting photo. I wonder what it would have looked like if you had waited until AFTER the tasting to take it. :-)
ReplyDeleteReally like the textures and angles in this shot.
ReplyDeleteMakes me think about the lug boxes used for picking peaches in the orchards around my grandmother's house in central California. I loved to walk through the orchards and pick a peach to eat. They were cling peaches for canning, but I loved the taste and firm flesh. - Margy
