Skywatch Friday: Sunset Through a Tree

the wispy tree
lays her spindled fingers lightly
over the sun
caressing it like a departing lover
she can't wait to see again

Skywatch Friday

This is my last post until Monday, because we're headed to nearby Birch Bay for a teensy little camping getaway. Hopefully we'll have decent weather and I'll return with some lovely photos to share.
Send warm weather thoughts our way, and happy weekend to all!

  1. Oh, Liz, this is just delicious! I took some similar shots last night, but they aren't anywhere near as good as this one.

Yes, your poetry is wonderful. I did a new one today on Creative Confections, using a title and a photo from Rose at Pics and Pieces. I'd be interested in what you think about it - if you have the time.

Meanwhile, have a wonderful (and warm!) weekend. And you could do worse than retired to Freedom Pointe in The Villages! It's a pretty cool place.

  2. Love your descriptive words and beautiful photo. I'm sending all kinds of warm weather wishes your way. Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. Ah...such beauty in both sight and sound. Have a super weekend!

  4. A great shot. Very beautiful.
    Have a nice weekend.

  5. Great photo! Have a nice weekend! Hope it is warm enough for camping.

  6. Gorgeous capture and beautiful words to match! I love it! Enjoy your weekend!

  7. Wow!! This is a spectacular sunset photo! I love your poem, too--it goes with the photo perfectly.

  8. beautiful sunset! Love the silhouettes!
