Waiting for Spring

Blue sky can be seen through the branches of a tree waiting for spring.  Today might be the first official day of spring, but this tree sure doesn't realize it yet.

Another one from the achieves, artichoke flowers look oddly beautiful at this last fall's Bellingham Farmers Market.  I'm very excited for the Market's spring start next month.

All sorts of fishing boats park themselves on the protected side of the wave breaker until its time for their next trip.



November Sunrise

With two little ones and our absolutely rotten weather lately, I have not made it out to take many pictures.  So today I will share a pretty sunrise I captured back in the fall from my back deck.  I actually like the power pole, I think it makes an interesting silhouette against the brightening sky.

Avenue Bread is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon on a rainy Bellingham day.  Fantastic sandwiches, rich coffee and people watching out their giant window facing Railroad Ave.  I also love their chalkboard art.
