Federal Building

Built in 1912-1913, Bellingham's Federal Building was built to house the Post Office, U.S. District Court, Department of Justice, Customs, and the U.S. Marshall's office.  Today, the Post Office inhabits its original home on the first floor, and the IRS and Customs Services are located on the other floors.

  1. They just don't build 'em this beautiful anymore. What a shame.

  2. So, many of the original tenants are still there. That seems rare to me . . . most federal buildings of this vintage that I know have been repurposed as the scope of the government has expanded.
