The Old Warehouse

It is flanked on one side by a blackberry-laden trail
and on the other by a boardwalk busy with people.
Mothers chat, pushing tandem strollers
joggers sweat past it and bicycle bells ring.
No one looks at the loveliness of one decaying warehouse

except for us.
Because we're like that, aren't we?

The Boardwalk at Boulevard

The old boardwalk at Boulevard Park connects the park to a small point farther south on the bay. A new portion of the boardwalk was completed several years ago to continue the boardwalk south to Fairhaven. Plans are in development to extend the boardwalk from Boulevard Park north to the site of the now defunct Georgia Pacific plant in downtown Bellingham.

The Hub Community Bike Shop

I love this mural at The Hub Community Bike Shop. It's right on the South Bay trail, so I see it every time I bike to Boulevard Park. This is one of my favorite murals in town-- and we have a lot of murals! These are the guys who did it.
