Children's Garden

The kid's garden at Hovander Park is a fun place to learn about plants and gardening.  It is happy and whimsical and my kids love exploring it.  Always a must stop when we visit this park.

We Struck Gold, Yukon Gold

Last weekend we found the last of our carrot crop, this weekend we dug up the last of the potatoes.  There was more then I was expecting and we feasted on a big bowl of mashed potatoes with our dinner.  The garden is ready for spring to come and plant some more.

Leftovers

We had an odd winter day on Sunday. First it was cold and clear, so my family headed over to our garden plot and my daughters fished around in the dirt and this beautiful carrot was found leftover from summer.  Not long after the carrot was discovered a wet snow storm swept through and turned our world white for an hour or so.
