On the Forest Floor

These mushrooms were poking up through the fall leaves on a recent hike in the woods.  I did a quick search online but couldn't find anything that looked like these.  Any mushroom experts out there know what these are?

Are those gigantic mushrooms or is that miniature shopping cart? Chanterelles mushrooms are displayed in a fun and whimsical fashion at the Bellingham Farmers Market.
