A Place to Sit and Enjoy the Cold Dairy Air?

A scene from last month's snow storms.  Spring seems to be on the way so this will hopefully be our only snow of the year.

SambAmore at Boundary Bay

Ahhh, summer. Once again time for Yogoman's Wild Rumpus in the Boundary Bay beer garden. Last night Yogoman Burning Band brought their friends sambAmore along for a performance. The Bellinghamsters approved! There was wild energy and a lot of smiles going around. Thanks for an awesome show, guys!

Mount Bakery

The Mount Bakery. The name, in case you aren't familiar with the area, is a play on the name of our nearby Mount Baker. If we go out to breakfast, it's my favorite place to spend a Sunday morning-- especially if I don't happen to have the children with me. Then I can take the time to order their delicious shirred eggs, which take quite a while but are worth the wait: oven-baked eggs with pesto, brie, and swiss cheese. YUM. While they work on my eggs, I nibble an almond croissant and listen to whichever talented musician they have performing this particular morning. Heaven!

Climbing "For Handel"

April's Theme Day is "Red."

One of the Bellingham childhood rites of passage is climbing this enormous red metal sculpture on the Western Washington University campus. Called "For Handel" by Mark Di Suvero, it looks more like a piece of playground equipment than a piece of art to the ten-and-under set. To see our previous post on it, click here.
