Joggers and kayakers were already circling Lake Padden when I arrived to wait for sunrise.

Skywatch Friday: Rock around the Dock

My youngest daughter started picking rocks up from the lake bed and lining the dock. Others joined in and the border was soon complete.

Frosty

We are finally getting some winter snow with slush in the city and white in the foothills.  The dock that is the source of much summer time fun, is now covered in a thick layer of frost.  I am definitely not trying to get down that ramp anytime soon.

Fixing up the marina, one piling at a time.

Some fly.

Others swim,

perch,

or stretch their wings.

Whatever their pose,

they know they look handsome

against an orange glow.
