Glorious sunlight filters through this evergreen tree.

Super Moon

The moon blasts out from behind a tall tree on the horizon.  The moon last night really was very big, bright and worth hanging outside late to see.

Waiting for Spring

Blue sky can be seen through the branches of a tree waiting for spring.  Today might be the first official day of spring, but this tree sure doesn't realize it yet.

Tree of Nawlege?

When tagging a tree on a college campus, you may want to check the spelling before you whip out your knife!

Patchwork

This tree outside of NW Handspun Yarns is warmed by a blanket obviously made with love.  The shop offers classes, all things fiber, and a weekly knit night where knitters are encouraged to bring their projects to share.  Being a a very novice knitter myself, I'm sure I could learn a lot if I joined the group.

The Old Oak Tree

Walking down Knox Avenue in Fairhaven the other day, we saw this sign. It touched my heart-- in a world that generally can't tear down old things and put up new stuff fast enough, here was a sweet family who cherished their old oak tree, and recognized that their neighbors did, too. Goodbye, old oak tree! You will be missed, but I suspect not many oak trees are as loved as you are.

Crow on a Branch

Crows and Tree

This stripped-down picture of crows in a tree barely looks like a photo... but it does look a lot like the wallpaper I want for our entry hall!

Shooting into the Sun

They tell you
"never shoot into the sun"
A Very Important Rule of Thumb
They don't come from
Washington.
I haven't seen the sun
in a long, wintry month
And I'm shooting into it.
