Fern Spiral
I love this picture ejvig took on the trail to Fragrance Lake yesterday. I've never seen a fern exhibit this kind of shape, but it seems to be spiraling up to reach the sun. A quick google image search didn't come up with any fern varieties that look anything like this, so I'm at a loss... but it sure is pretty!

ReplyDeleteUnique and so delicate!! Great eye.
ReplyDeleteThe nature never stops surprising us. Great find.
ReplyDeleteLove the way it spirals up. What a good capture.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great-looking fern. I've never seen anything like it (not that we have much in the way of ferns where I live).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful image. It is a Western Maidenhair Fern (Adiatum aleuticum) I believe. I have one in a pot but they grow wild too. MB
ReplyDeleteThanks, MB! We decided it was probably a maidenhair after a little more research, too.
