I took a road trip to Cannon Beach, Oregon last weekend to scope out the area with a friend who plans to move there. We had planned on getting out to take some pictures of the area but northern Oregon was deluged with rain that weekend. The rain stopped briefly Saturday morning and we ran down to the beach to snap a couple of shots. By the time we drove out Sunday we were fording minor flood waters over the highway to Portland.
What a beautiful photo....did you do it in black and white or is it just the tone of the day?
ReplyDeleteLove the light and mist and the way you've captured them on that curve of beach.
ReplyDeleteFording flood waters is a pretty scary way to get back home. Glad it worked out OK for you. I like this composition. It is very calm, and the inadvertent monochrome emphasizes the impending storm.
ReplyDeleteDon't like the flooding waterways, but this is one super photograph...of course, I love the sea and fog and when you put them together, it's mystical!
ReplyDeleteI think I love days like this along the beach the best.
ReplyDeleteI love Cannon Beach... such a cute, artsy little town. And I love "Sleepy Monk Coffee," though I think they are closed in the winter.
