This black winged beauty was one of hundreds on display at the Tropical Butterfly House at the Seattle Science Center. If you are in the area and get a chance, I highly recommend visiting. You are free to wander among the butterflies in a tropical environment and may even get to have one land on you.
Oh, he's beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, wonderful macrophoto.
ReplyDeleteI think the boy's face was caught in the photo by chance. But they together provided so special composition!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful, don't think I've ever seen a black one
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful capture!
ReplyDeleteWalking into that exhibit is exhilarating. It feels like a fairy land and makes you feel like a young child all over again! My favorite part of the exhibit was watching Kim's face as she first saw it.
ReplyDeleteThe butterfly house is an amazing place, isn't it? So warm and humid and a great place to go on a cold and dreary winter day!!
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing. The Crystal Palace in Victoria BC used to be my favorite mid-winter escape until they closed.
ReplyDeleteI have been in the Butterfly House at the Woodland Park Zoo. Is it still there? It is very exciting to see all the butterflys. MB
