Anyway, whatever their names, on a clear day I often admire these lovely almost-twins gracing our northern neighbor. Thanks for sharing your beauty, Canada! In thanks, we will grant you an inspiring view of Mount Baker.

Skywatch Friday: the Pacific Range
The setting sun lights up some of the peaks in the Pacific Range in British Columbia, Canada. I couldn't figure out which peaks, exactly, these are-- so I'd love to know if anyone has the information! (Margy?) I delved into Canadian geography enough to know that they are part of the Pacific Range, which in turn is part of the Coast Mountains. This was all illuminating to me, as I'd always referred to them as the Canadian Rockies, which are apparently a continuation of the American Rockies, not the Cascades. That should have been obvious. ;-)
