Minihenge

I don't know if there's any spiritual significance with this stone maze or if it's "just" art, but either way it's quite striking. You can find it by following the railroad tracks south of Marine Park until you get to a little clearing. It's hard to tell the scale from the picture, but there's enough room to walk the maze if you put one foot carefully in front of the other.

  1. And from the tracks in the ground, it looks like several people have walked the maze. Love the perspective on this one.

  2. Pretty interesting. I'd stay away when the moon is full.

  3. I like the rustic quality so well brought out in your photo and treatment. It has much more mystery than the big labyrinth in the park.

  4. Cool shot. Art can be a spiritual practice, I think. Looks like a labyrinth for walking meditation perhaps. "Minihenge~" cute. :)

  5. @ becky-- I wasn't familiar with "walking meditation" but one of my facebook friends also mentioned it, so I looked it up. I think you guys must be right! I walked it myself and felt rather meditative, but didn't know this was the purpose of it. What a perfect post for what is, in fact, Nirvana Day.
