It's a good thing I've learned to take my camera with me everywhere. Lots of times I'll find I've hauled it around all day for no reason. But then I'll find a shot in the most random of places-- like this killdeer in the parking lot of the Jumparound Fun Zone, where I was taking the kids for some bouncy-house fun.
Killdeer??? What a strange name for a bird.
ReplyDeleteRob and Mandy--
ReplyDeleteIt is, isn't it? They're named for the call they make, which sounds a little like that: "Killdeeeeer! Killdeeeeer!"
I love finding photos in the most random of places! :) That's the best way to photograph. Such a cute little bird too...
ReplyDeleteBy the way... I envy your 'vegetarian-ness' :) ... I think I could do that if it weren't for steak... That's my kryptonite.
That is a bird we actually see around here. But I am more intrigued by the Jumparound Fun Zone.! :-)
ReplyDeleteGood lens on that camera and good shot. Way to be prepared. Hope the kids had as much fun in the bouncy house.
ReplyDeletethey are most amazing when guarding their young...what a show they put on.
ReplyDeleteLizzi on the spot! I have a camera with me most of the time and I dream of coming upon that once-in-a-lifetime shot, but so far it has eluded me. I should be happy. What do you do after you get the OIAL shot and still have more life left?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot! Wonderful. Maybe she was taking her kids there to play too. :)
