And now it's time to play... Name That Cheesy Poem at the End of a Well-Known 70's Song!
Breathe deep the gathering gloom.
Watch lights fade from every room.
Bedsitter people look back and lament
another day's useless energy spent.
Impassioned lovers wrestle as one.
Lonely man cries for love and has none.
New mother picks up and suckles her son.
Senior citizens wish they were young.
Coldhearted orb that rules the night.
Removes the colour from our sight.
Red is grey and yellow white.
But we decide which is right...
and which is an illusion.
Hint: Read it with a Cockney accent and imagine the sound of a gong at the end.
No idea, but I have a name for the photo. Outta-sight-fine!

Not sure about the author, but loved the song by the Moody Blues. - Margy
ReplyDeleteIt's called "Late Lament" and was written by the drummer, I think. Do I win the moon if I'm right? That is a fabulous moon shot!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is an amazing shot of the moon--nature at its best. Mickie ;)

I love that song! And I'm not surprised that Tracy was the one to know about it. She's got so much brain power and loves music.
