Iconic Northwest Mural

This beautiful mural is located on Prospect street right next to the Whatcom Museum.   It was painted by East Los Streetscapers, a collaborative studio for public art that designs "culturally relevant and architecturally compatible" street art.   I've gone by several times hoping to capture a photo with no cars parked, but alas I gave up.

  1. Fine mural. I understand what you mean but the cars actually give the mural scale and setting.

  2. I drove past that yesterday and was really surprised at it's detail. Actually I saw quite a few murals while we were driving downtown. When the weather gets a bit brighter I'll have to go down with my camera. - Margy

  3. This is beautiful, Lorelle. I don't like lots of the "street art" (better known as graffiti), but this one is very well conceived and well painted.

  4. I love your sight! I am starting a new blog just about Bellingham and Whatcom county. I just posted about all of the art downtown. I think I captured most of it? But my pictures are nothing compared to yours! http://exploreb-ham.blogspot.com/2012/05/downtown-bellingham-full-of-art.html
