Waiting for Spring

Blue sky can be seen through the branches of a tree waiting for spring.  Today might be the first official day of spring, but this tree sure doesn't realize it yet.

Color!

This time of year there isn't a lot of bright colors out and about.  No flowers yet and still many gray days.  But northwest moss is bright and lovely in this glorious shade of green.  I also love the texture.  It's beautiful on this shaded rock on our walk of Whatcom Falls Park, not so pretty in my lawn though.

This was taken under the Interurban Trail under the bridge between Fairhaven Park and Marine Park.

Reach for the Sky

EjVig took this lovely shot of the moss growing on our garage roof. We should probably clean it off... but it is rather pretty.
