This playground equipment frames the beautiful late summer sky. September has graced us with a little more summer, but you can sure feel that chill of fall in the mornings and evenings.
There's something sort of peaceful about window washers-- they're slow and steady, forced to be careful and take their time. No rushing here. Plus, he must have a great view. Mostly, though, it reminds me of this Barenaked Ladies song I've always liked, "When I Fall."
I took this at the edge of the Van Boven Gravel Company. Our friends' land borders the quarry, and their dog Duchess apparently enjoys watching the machines below.
I had a great time camping but am so glad to be back in Bellingham!
