I do not know that I have ever woken early with the expressed intent of rising to watch the sunrise. Considering dawn was at 7.29a.m. and sunrise at 8:03a.m. this morning, it was no small feat to take a nice walk down to the lake for some pictures. I only wish that I had thought to bring a hot cup of coffee with me, as my fingers were freezing. Watching the sky go from black to purple to blue was amazing and a fantastic way to start my day.
Most definitely with a view like that!
ReplyDeleteDon't you love the way the daily photo blog prompts you to do things you'd never otherwise do? What a gorgeous shot you got, too! You've captured a beautifully peaceful moment.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Lorelle. I am not very good at getting up and out for early photos, but this doesn't seem too bad. Lizzi's comment is right on . . . having one of these blogs does make a person much more aware. You can't do a photo blog from your kitchen!
ReplyDeleteThat is really gorgeous... one imagines the peace and quiet there...
ReplyDeleteNow dawn is earlier, so it will be harder for me to even think of getting up for the dawn. I am such a late sleeper. - Margy
