My dad recently moved to a cabin on a gravel road with a few other cabins, but there are no signs that they are regularly occupied. There may be no human neighbors, but Flopsy seems to have made a home of his yard. She was skittish at first, but took food out of our hands after a couple of days and would even let us pet her a little. A flock of sheep also wanders through every couple of days and keeps the grass mowed.
This is obviously a domesticated rabbit, right? I mean down here in Arizona we don't have anything like this jumping around the desert. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun place to live.
It appears to me that Flopsy at one time was someone's pet? She seems to be too tame to be a wild rabbit who usually are so wary. Have fun; she's a good companion.
ReplyDeleteShe sure is enjoying the lawn!
ReplyDeleteLook, a Dalmatian Rabbit! Sounds like a divine place.
ReplyDeleteNice capture!
ReplyDeleteCute rabbit. I had a rabbit when I was little but it was a pretty nasty fellow. - Margy
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeletesounds like a wonderful move for your dad.
ReplyDelete@ Kate and Magpie - Yes, I think it is an escaped or abandoned domestic rabbit. We do have wild rabbits here too but they look nothing like this.
