Weekend Reflections: Sound Waves

Puget Sound, that is!

These are sailboat masts, reflected in the rippling waters of Puget Sound, but they also remind me of the visible sound wave display you see when you listen to music on the computer.

  1. That's so true...at first I thought they were waves in a pool. You know like where the lane lines are painted on the bottom. I thought I was able to see through to the bottom, not just reflections on top. Optical illusions. :)

  2. Oooh, that photo is so lovely--I miss the Puget Sound. We lived there in the early 1980's--over by Gig Harber and Purdy. There is a feel to the air there, like no other.

Thank you for your comment about the window reflection of tree over my darling Mumsie in the window...the funny thing is I didn't realize how significant that was until you pointed out the trunk of the tree--wow. I'm just amazed. Thank you for noticing. Mumsie is like a tree--strong and beautiful.

  3. I have gone down to the harbor many times to capture sailboat masts in the water, but none of mine have yet turned out this charming.

  5. I love this picture... Its particular framing is so nice, with those water reflection deformations... Very beautiful.
