Two Leaves

two abeyant brother leaves
faded and frail as old men
suspended still though fall has ceased
when one releases
so will his friend

  3. The trees must be speaking to us.

This is a beautiful piece. Sad is not quite right, but mournful and touching.

    Well written.

  5. The bounds of friendship concealed in the image of those straggler leaves...well done. Short but sweet, and potent in delivery. A tender write for the world as its transitions into the throes of winter. Beautiful work!
