Ladybird, ladybird,
Fly away home
Your house is on fire,
And your children all gone.
All except one,
and that's little Ann
And she has crept under
The warming pan.

What is it about old nursery rhymes always being dark and depressing? Thank goodness for the Pixar generation! Never mind the classics, I like some sweet with my bitter.
Lovely photo of a ladylike ladybug! I think you're right about nursery rhymes...never thought about it before. Depressing!
ReplyDeleteStrange song! We call them coccinelles in french, and the nursery rhymes about them are quite joyful
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of a gardener's best friend.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember seeing yellow ladybirds here, only the red ones, but both are lovely.
