She Gazes Out the Window
at the statue of Dirty Dan Harris, founder of Fairhaven. He looks lonely... and a little hungry. Maybe he'd like some of her grilled cheese sandwich.
This was taken inside the Colophon Cafe, a cozy little restaurant inside Village Books. I can never resist their Mexican corn-and-bean soup... or their peanut-butter pie! Yum.
this is a very clever image, Lizzie. Not only does it have so many layers within the image, but so many layers within the possible interpretations, as well.
Taking it to B&W helps us to concentrate on those relationships.
such a great shot of a peaceful moment in time.
ReplyDeleteLovely shot. Peanut butter pie??? Have to try!
ReplyDeleteI count six different layers to look at for details. Great photo. And I like it black and white.

ReplyDeleteOkay, you I confess you got me with peanut butter pie. That's a very nice photo. B & W is hard to do and do well but you did it here.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sensitive shot. Beautiful. I'll take some of what that child is eating and a piece of peanut butter pie, please.
ReplyDeleteWonderful study in black and white. Tells so many stories. I'm with everyone else - give me some peanut butter pie, please!
ReplyDeleteCute shot! I like the monochrome way of picturing it!
