Toppling Trees
Trees were blown sideways all over the county yesterday due to winds that gusted up to 58 mph. This one, in Bayview Cemetery, took a few headstones with it.
That's sad - about both the tree, and the headstones.

Are those winds normal for your area?
ReplyDeleteThree Rivers-- I agree, it is sad. Hopefully they'll replace the tree. From what I saw, the headstones weren't damaged, just knocked over.
ReplyDeleteBrattcat-- this time of year, we usually have windstorms up to 50 mph. I believe 58 mph was a record-breaking gust for us, though!
Powerful winds are so destructive, wer also recently had a tree blown over in a strong wind.
